Executive Coaching

"You get the best effort from others not by lighting a fire beneath them,
but by building a fire within."

- Bob Nelson

Coaching can be a life changing experience. It has been defined in many ways but the essence of coaching is to help a person change and attain their goals . Coaching supports a person at every level to become the best that they can be. To achieve this the coaching process must be empowering, able to unlock a persons potential to maximise their performance and lead to change.

At JP People Solutions we offer two types of coaching; Executive one to one coaching and Executive team coaching. We use NLP extensively to get transformation results and a finessed and elegant outcome for the clients. We will also use MBTI if appropriate.

Individual Executive Coaching
This is dependent on the need of the client but in our experience, would typically cover the following areas:

  • Aligning individual and organisational values
  • Increased skills as an executive
  • Balancing professional and personal life
  • Delegation
  • Office/organisational 'politics'
  • Developing emotional intelligence and leadership
  • Stopping 'burn out'

Executive Team coaching
This is dependent on the needs of the team but in our experience, would typically cover the following areas:

  • Maximising each team members contribution
  • Developing and enhancing team skills
  • Better inter team relationships and with other executives outside of the team
  • Office/organisational politics
  • Balance between individual ambition and team co-operation
  • Increasing leadership skills using emotional intelligence

In both areas we seek to explore the present and design the future with our clients. Due to the NLP tools and techniques that we use, we are able to change limiting beliefs in our clients that are often the root cause of not achieving goals.

How does it work?
Each session would typically last for either two or four hours and would be on a fortnightly or monthly basis over a period of six months, depending on the need of the organisation and the individuals.

In the first instance, we meet with the person organising the coaching - usually in the HR division of the organisation. We discuss the needs of the client and the needs of the organisation.

We then assign one of our qualified coaches to the client. Our coach will meet the client and explain the coaching process. It is vital that there is trust and rapport between client and coach and this first meeting is a crucial way to establish this. At this session, the clients desired outcomes will be explored as well.

Quite often, at the request of the sponsor, there is a three way meeting between the coach, the HR professional and the executive (or team) before the first coaching session so that all parties are clear on the outcomes. Again, following the final coaching session, the sponsor may wish to know how the outcomes were achieved either through a follow up meeting or report.

Confidentiality
It is important to note that the content of the sessions is not reported and remains solely confidential between coach and client (coachee). However, the overall progress and achievement may be requested by the sponsoring body.
